Happy Birthday Rick

Rick turned 40 on May 5. We had a birthday party for him with friends and family. We have great friends, and it was fun to see them.I just want to wish Rick a Happy Birthday and tell him how much I love and appreciate the man that he has become. Rick is such a hard worker, and he works very hard to provide for us. I'm so grateful for all that he does for us.

Makayla's Baptism

Makayla was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints on Saturday December 6, 2008. I just want to let Makayla know how proud we are of her decision to be baptized. There will be a lot of important decisions that she will have to make in her life, and I am so glad that she has made this one. Makayla is very sweet and loving, and she has a fun personality.

Jordan's Arrow of Light Award for Scouts

Getting your arrow of light and Weblos Badge is a great honor in scouts. There is a lot of hard work that goes into getting this award. We are so proud of Jordan for his accomplishments, and for his hard work.

Jordan crossed a bridge from cub scouts, and is being welcomed into the 11 year old scout troop.

Farewell Cheddar

We are sad to say that Cheddar has passed away. Makayla's pet hamster died last Sunday, and she was very upset about it. He was a great pet, and she misses him.

Flowers just because it's Wednesday

I just wanted to brag on my husband. Rick brought be these flowers one night just to be sweet, and they were beautiful. Peach roses are one of my favorites. Thanks Babe.

Happy Birthday Makayla!!

Makayla turned 8 years old on November 6. Wow these past 8 years have flown by, and I can't believe that my baby is already old enough to get baptized. We sure have been blessed to have Makayla in our family. She is a burst of sunshine in our home, she is easy going (unless Jordan is bugging her), she is happy, friendly, she loves to laugh and joke around, and she is so very smart. She is in the 2nd grade this year, and she is also at the top of her class. She loves to learn about science, and she likes art, and reading. She also loves to sing and dance around the house. We will have to show you our home movies of her shaking her bootie when she was 2. It is really funny. We love Makayla so much, and we are so proud of all that she does.

Can't wait to eat that cake!

Having an annoying brother just doesn't seem to be bothering her at this moment.

Birthday Presents

Makayla wanted to open her presents first thing in the morning, so we woke her up for school, and she opened her presents on her bed. She couldn't wait to get her MP3 player.

Makayla got a MP3 player for her birthday this year, a Hannah Montana, and a High School Muscial notebook.

Our little Rapper

Makayla has quite the funny personality. She makes us laugh a lot. Her new thing is pretending to be hip. She will come up to us and say, "Rap music is tight yo." I have to say the first time she did it, I laughed really hard.

Halloween 2008

Makayla decided to be a disco diva this year for Halloween. She really played the part well, she was very cute, but at the same time she had a lot of attitude. Makayla has a really fun personality, and this costume really fit that. She jokes around a lot (she gets that from her dad) and always has a lot of fun.

J-Man the Ghost

Jordan decided to be a ghost for Halloween this year, but he didn't like having the whole sheet over his face, so we improvised, and cut a hole for his neck and painted his face. He still had agreat time. This year with him being 11 years old, he went trick-or-treating with his friend, Chance, as his parents followed farther behind than usual. My little boy is not so little anymore. He is already wanting some independance, so I have to let go, but it's not always so easy.
